The Quotes in this section are related to the works of Lux Nova and his studies and analysis of the Works and Prophecies of Nostradamus. Lux Nova provides separate themed books of Nostradamus Prophecies, each of which can be accessed in the Secret Vault. This Quote or 'Extract' if you prefer, draws reference from the following books by Lux Nova:
Dix envoyez chef de nef metre a mort
D'un adverty en classe guerre ouverte
Confusion chef, l'un se picque et mord
Leryn, stecades nefs, cap dedans la nerte.
Authors works consulted for variations in French: (a) John Hogue. (b) Henry C. Roberts. (c) Mario Reading. (page, 321.) (d) Edgar Leoni. (e) Jean-Charles de Fontbrune (page, 431.) French rendered the same except. (b) has 'le ryn.' (d) has 'averti' and 'pique'.
Envoyez= envoys, messengers. Advert=adverti= advertised, informed, certified, warned, admonished, advised; signified unto; having notice. Stecades-steccades, place or places veiled in for combat? Or southern France, Narbonne area, as Stoechades? Cap= a captain, or as Pope, Cap. Nerte, in French signifies a myrtle shrub: this cannot be correct, the true word has been bastardised to rhyme with ouverte, end line 2. However, 'Neree' is a title of Neptune. {thus, a hint as to where he's hiding or holding out.] or as the Greek god of the sea, Nereus, whose pacific region was the Aegean Sea. Jean-Charles de Fontbrune, Mario Reading, and Edgar Leoni, all have 'warned by one' beginning line 2? From, 'D'un averty. Or averti?' or better read, d'un a verte, of-by one too green?
Ten envoys sent to put the Captain of the ship to death,
By one green (youthful, -inexperienced) in the fleet war opened: or, (of one to warn of war in-amongst the fleet.)
In confusion, the chief and another (or, the one) prick and bite each other,
At Lerins and Hyeres ships, Cap (tain) within the 'nerte'.
