The Quotes in this section are related to the works of Lux Nova and his studies and analysis of the Works and Prophecies of Nostradamus. Lux Nova provides separate themed books of Nostradamus Prophecies, each of which can be accessed in the Secret Vault. This Quote or 'Extract' if you prefer, draws reference from the following books by Lux Nova:
Dedans Monech le coq sera recu,
Le Cardinal de France apparoistra,
Par legation Romain sera deceu,
Foiblesse `a l Aigle, et force au Coq naistra.
Authors works consulted for variations in French: (a) John Hogue. (b) Henry C. Roberts. (c) Mario Reading. (page, 538.) (d) Edgar Leoni. (e) Jean-Charles de Fontbrune (page, 409.) French rendered the same except. All authors have, 'legarion,' in place of legation. (a)(b)(c)(e) have, 'receu.' (d) has, 'apparaitra.'
Dedans= Within, inwardly, in. Monech= Monaco. Cardinal= Cardinal, of the Roman Church. Apparoistra, as, apparoira= Will appear, seem to be or will show itself, suddenly, or without warning; also, will be evident, apparent, manifest. Deceu= Deceived, beguiled, gulled, circumvented; disappointed; betrayed. Foiblesse= Feebleness, weakness, lack of strength, faintness, infirmity. Force= Force might, strength, power, ability, vigour; virtue, effect, operation, energy, efficiency; violence, constraint, compulsion, ravishment. Naistra= Will be born, bred, engendered from, to arise, grow, spring from.
The Cardinal of France. Nostradamus is still talking about a Cardinal of the Catholic faith, but in this case not of Rome. France has since the 16th Century, at least, been plotting to remove the power of the see of Rome, to France. (see, The Secret Vault book on Giles, (a dictionary on 'An introduction in how to read, pronounce and speak true French truly.'- conversations with Mary Tudor, or 'Bloody Mary' as she is better remembered; also, coming book, 'A Very Catholic Plot, conversations with Bloody Mary.')
Napoleon Bonaparte had the same intentions, he had himself made Emperor and Pope, after disengaging France from Rome, and had this to say,
"I was in a position to exalt the pope beyond all bounds and to surround him with such pomp and ceremony that he would have ceased to regret the loss of his temporal (earthly) power. I would have made an idol of him... Paris would have become the capital of Christendom, and I would have become the master of the religious as well as the political world... my Church councils would have been representative of all Christendom, and the popes would have been mere chairmen. I would have opened and closed these assemblies, approved and made public their decisions, as did Constantine and Charlemagne". [coming book, the March of the Antichrists.]
Legarion, if it was intended is a made-up word at best, which is nonsensical. Consider the intent of the verse. We have a 'Coq'= Cock; we have a French Cardinal, and a delegation from Rome. Legation= An Embassage, legateship, as a, legate= a messenger, especially one representing the Pope; also, a diplomatic mission headed by a minister.
It is quite obvious from the verse that the Romans intentions are to deceive, the Cardinal, or the Coq, or both.
The Coq, Cock, is the nickname Nostradamus has given to a very, very powerful future figure of history, and at that point in time, France will be the holder and See of the Catholic Church.
The Eagle, is actually a person, although technically all antichrists, will claim the Eagle as part of their insignia, a badge of Absolute Rule and Authority.
Within Monaco the Cock will be received,
The Cardinal of France will suddenly show himself,
By the Roman Ambassadors he will be deceived,
weakness to the Eagle, and the strength of the Cock will increase.
