(a)(b)(c) have, 'estrange,' and 'este.' (a)(c) have, 'eaue.' (b) has, 'terreure,' and 'avoit.' (a) has, 'ferreure.' (c) has, 'farreure.' (d) has, 'lointaine,' and 'serrure.' (c)(d) have, 'main,' 3rd line, but I know not where they have copied it from, baffled? Makes no sense.

Meanings of the French words deemed appropriate

Estrange= A foreigner, stranger; unaccustomed, unacquainted; also, harsh, rude. Loingtaine= Foreign, remote, much removed, far distant, far off, a long way to, or from. Sans= Without, besides. Trop= Too much, overmuch, superfluous, excess, more tans needed; also, much, greatly, mainly, mightily. Domaine= A man's patrimony or inheritance, realm, country. Prins= Taken, seized, caught, apprehended. Serreure, as serrure= a lock. Riblee= a rover, rake, an armed robber, thief.

Rome will be harshly vexed by foreigners, literally besieged, waters contaminated, realm in a pitiful state, France (the daughter) not much better. The last line is gritty, 'ribleur' is definitely an armed robber or highwayman.

Thus, we might translate

Because of a foreign people far distant from Rome,
Their great city after water extremely troubled,
Daughter whose domain is in a similar state,
Chief captured by an armed robber the lock not having been secured.
