He was one of the sons of Sisphus and Merope, his brothers were, Thersander, Almus, Glaucus, and Sinon, and he was the father of Phocus and Thoas. He was reported to have allied himself to the people of the city of Hyampolis in their fight against the Opuntian Locrians over the Phocian seaport of Daphnus. Sinon was victorious and was handed the kingdom, but he gave it to his son Phocus, and with Thoas returned to rule Corinth, he was succeeded by Thoas upon his death.
